LSFMA 2023 Fall Conference Follow up

The Louisiana School Facility Manager’s Association would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who participated in and contributed to our fall conference!  It was our largest to date and extremely successful.  The continuation of our school safety and security conversation brought together a diverse group of stakeholders ranging from school social workers to the Louisiana State Superintendent of Education.  LSFMA would also like to extend a special thank you to the Louisiana State Police Department for their support and augmentation of our events over the last two years.  We look forward to continued collaborations that will make our students and staff safer and better prepared!

Additionally, we simply could not deliver such informative and cogent content without our organizational sponsors like Tom Czyz from Armoured One who helped present relevant information and sobering data on such a critical topic. Our networking events were made possible by FMX and Homeland Safety Systems. FMX also held an Educational Leadership event on Wednesday to kick off the conference and it was a great way to get started! If you didn’t get the opportunity to see the keynote speaker, then you missed out. Our delicious lunch was provided by The Signature Group. Assa Abloy provided a new and unique conference feature by locating their showroom truck on site for attendees to browse available security hardware. Other event sponsors that helped make the event possible included Ratcliff Construction, Fusion Architecture, Terracon, & Himmel’s Door and Hardware. 

All our attendees’ information who registered for the event will be shared with everyone. Again, thank you so much to everyone who participated or assisted in making this possible. We look forward to the planning and preparation of our next successful Conference.

Upcoming Events – Save the Dates

Spring Conference 2024 – April 17th – 19th at The Golden Nugget Casino & Resort, Lake Charles, LA. This will be a vendor expo show along with many other networking activities. There are 85 vendor booths available, and we will have attendees from various different school systems throughout the state.

If you are a Commercial Member (Vendor) you have the option to participate in the exhibit of your product or you can participate as an attendee. We also encourage our Commercial Members to participate in all the activities planned for the conference, not just the Thursday expo show.

Fall Conference 2024 – October 9th – 11th at The Paragon Casino and Resort, Marksville, LA. This will be our educational and informational event. More details are forthcoming soon.
